Scotch-Brite Roloc Coating Removal Disc CR-DR features extra coarse silicon carbide abrasive material to effectively remove paint and rust from metal surfaces and welds. Together with the flexible non-woven material, the abrasive removes coatings without grooving, cutting or damaging the base material, especially on hard surfaces.
Use the Scotch Brite Roloc Coating Removal Disc to efficiently remove coatings without damaging the base material. Our discs are great for hard surfaces. They are a good alternative to wire brushes, have a larger surface area and are safer as no wires can come loose. Velcro tape ensures a secure attachment of the disc. The open web structure keeps the discs cool and makes them less likely to fill up. The abrasive keeps working better and results remain consistent throughout the life of the disc. Scotch Brite Roloc Discs for removing coatings are equipped with the Roloc TR function to quickly attach and remove the discs. This allows the discs to be quickly changed during multi-step finishing processes. These discs use silicon carbide-based abrasive material, a very sharp synthetic mineral widely used in low-pressure applications such as paint preparation. The material breaks down faster than aluminium oxide, for a superior finish. Scotch Brite industrial abrasives are unique surface treatment products where the abrasive material is embedded in non-woven nylon or other synthetic fibres. The combination of abrasive material in fibres creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the life of the product.
